Small and compact, the Gerber Bear Grylls Fire Starter offers years of use. It consists of a ferrocerium rod and metal striker. The watertight construction keeps tinder safe and dry, whilst the lanyard keeps the product secure and together. An emergency whistle is integrated into the lanyard cord.

The fire starter has printed land to air rescue instructions and SOS on its case, and is supplied with a 'Priorities of Survival' pocket guide, containing Bear’s survival essentials.
