The Hultafors Chopping axe HY is an axe suitable for small-scale tree felling manufactured in blasted and clear lacquered ironwork. The wooden handle is curved and made of hickory. It is particularly suitable for branch trimming and clearing bushes.

The axe is hand-forged and manufactured from Swedish axe steel according to tradition since 1697 and it takes many blows of a hammer to process the axe steel, but this improves its density and makes the axe more durable. The clear hard zone can be sharpened without altering the strength of the cutting edge and the handle is made of hickory and is treated with linseed oil.
